    Troubleshooting: How to Capture a HAR file

    From time to time we are unable to diagnose connection or other issues without information from your computer.  We may asked you to provide diagnostic information in order to provide effective resolution.  If you feel uncomfortable in following the below steps, please plan on meeting with a support representative in an online screen share so that they may assist you in capturing this information. 

    Chrome

    • Open the developer tools from the menu (Menu>Tools> developer tools) or by pressing F12
    • Click on the Network tab
    • Look for a round button at the top left of the Network tab.  Make sure it is red.  If it is grey, click it once to start recording. 
    • You can use the clear button (a circle with a line through it ) right before accessing https://verifyexpress.com/index.txt to remove unnecessary header information.
    • Save the capture by right-clicking on the grid and choosing "Save as HAR with Content" 
    • Attach the saved HAR file to the support ticket.

     

    Firefox

    • Start Firefox Developer tools in Network Mode (Top right menu>Developer>Network or press F12
    • Access https://verifyexpress.com/index.txt
    • Save the capture by right-clicking on the grid and choosing "Save all as HAR"
    • Attache the saved HAR file to the support ticket.

     

    Edge

    • Open the Network tool in F12 developer tools
    • Access https://verifyexpress.com/index.txt
    • Right under 'Elements' click on the Save icon.
    • Attach the saved HAR file to the support ticket.
